This drawing is going to be my submission for the Deviant Art Artist Training Grounds week 2 theme, which is to draw a pony representing a country. There happens to be 5 representing Equestria in the last panel.
This comic was drawn in a single night while integrating the theme into the narration to keep in the same style as when I was doing the Artist Training Grounds on Equestria Daily.
I was not doing good on the top row of panels for some reason. My lines just weren’t working for me and I had to redo a lot. Getting that expression on Pinkie made it all worth it, though. Then I really started to pick up momentum for the bottom row and I thought I made the last panel pretty epic looking. This was my first time drawing guard type ponies and I even improvised with the designs for 3 of them.
