[Adventure]

Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash return to the princesses’ Everfree castle with exploration on the brain. As they proceed further and further into its depths, they can’t shake the feeling they’ve walked into a Daring Do novel. Using nothing but their wits and their friendship, they must overcome the castle’s challenges and perhaps if they’re lucky, find a little treasure.

(A revision of one of the Hearth’s Warming Care Package stories for Kiki.)

This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 77 theme: draw a pony outside her comfort zone. I figure if Twi ever gave her wing spell another try, this might be the result. Because Dashie makes it look easy.

I don’t know why I thought it would be a good idea to draw folded over semi-transparent ghost wings, though. That was a massive detailing nightmare.

MLP: FiM – Practice Duel

This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 76 theme: draw a pony duel. Tempted as I was to do a Twi vs Trixie drawing, I decided I wanted to be a little less obvious. So Shiny’s helping filly Twi hone her skills for some upcoming challenge or other. The choice of spell’s an oddball because I was in a weird mood. 😛

Regardless, this is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 75 theme: draw a crafty pony. And oh, did she ever think she was crafty. Too bad duplication plots never end well. 😛

Decided to experiment a bit with Pinkie’s hair and try the curly interpretation. Figured doing it five times would give me a good feel. I kind of like it, but not much more than my old way. So now I’m torn.

Semi-quick second submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 73 theme: draw an imperial or empirical pony. I realized I hadn’t drawn Cadance yet and this theme gave me the perfect opportunity. I was going to put a magic aura on her horn, but decided I like the way it looked without it.

MLP: FiM – Twi Face Portrait

This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 73 theme: draw an imperial or empirical pony. Well, Twi’s pretty logical by nature, which should place her soundly in the empirical category. Even if she’s not sciencing at this exact moment.

Been a while since I did something I spent way too long on, so I went ahead and did another benchmark drawing using Twi. Paid a little more attention to the shape of her face and tried a few stylistic variances. Most notably with the fuller amount of small eyelashes and something of an attempt at giving the nostril a bit more volume.

*Ahem* Anyway, this is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 72 theme: draw a pony with power or overwhelming power. And Twi is harnessing the most overpowering of all powers: the power of cute. Beware.

I felt like trying some weird perspective stuff this time, so I went with a pretty oddball pose. I think I generally got it, but I’m not sure about some subtle parts of it (like her hooves, which I might now have made big enough).
