…must come to an end. Celestia of all ponies, immortal as she is, would know this only too well. I can’t imagine being her.

Anyway, this is my third submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 30 theme: draw a pony in the future. And my mind decided I should do something sad. So I did a comic.

I imagine (and hope) Twi would eventually get over her fear of disappointing Celestia and become a friend as well as a student. So I ran with that idea when I predicted this future.

This is a little more basic than usual, but I’ll be honest: if I used my normal shading technique, this would never get done. So cross hatching it is. I played a little with some really simple backgrounds.

Oh and thanks to Alipes for the suggestion of using a lily.

This was about a 3 hour project and while I did break out the entire 2H-HB-2B trio, the HB saw minimal use.
