This is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 36 theme: draw a pony traveling. Which makes this the perfect excuse to draw the ponies in those awful toy vehicles they come with. >.> Although I’ve actually wanted to draw Twi in that silly helmet for a while. I’m kind of glad I put it off until now.

That scooter has a surprising amount of detail on it, which made it a bit more of a pain to draw than I anticipated. Totally worth it, though. I toyed around a bit with the magic aura. I’m not sure which method I like better. I usually fill in the aura, which can kind of garble up details, but gives the magic a better presence. This way leaves the details intact, but doesn’t look as impressive.

This ran me about 5 hours using the 2H-HB-2B trio.
