This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 82 theme: draw a huge pony. And I have Lunar’s “big in Japan” title for the ATG blog to thank for this interpretation. In part because when I first read it, I read big as in famous or well known, as opposed to the more literal definition. And, well, something about the phrase itself just stuck. So I went with that style of poster people seem to do for their favourite anime characters (although I completely failed to find a reference once I got the idea…). So yea, this idea was a big of a temporary style shift for me too.
