She’s on a transparent background so she can be copy pasta-ed into any scene. And she’s ready to party.
This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 53 bonus theme: draw a pony for the ATG first birthday celebration scene picture. There were a few constraints on this one, two of which only really affected me at all: the first of which was a transparent background, which was a bit of a pain with traditional art, since the scanner picked up all kinds of tiny bits of shadowing on my whitespace (and the magic wand only helped with about 95% of it… yay, dust spec erase hunting). The second was minimal shading, which is something I’m definitely not used to anymore, so I had to hold myself back and just choose a few very select places where I felt the drawing absolutely needed it.
This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 53 theme: draw a pony demonstrating her cutie mark. I bet you can all tell I was in a goofy mood (and may have had Boast Busters on the brain). The only submission yet again since going to BronyCon means the amount of time I have to draw (or at least draw and actually get things submitted up here) is cut in half.
EDIT: Oops, guess her head wasn’t as tilted as I thought it was since the mustache is overtilted. I guess it can be considered part of the goofiness. >.>
Well, here it is: roughly 25 hours spread over the last few weeks in the making. This is my big piece that I’m going to be trying to get autographs on at BronyCon this coming up weekend.
There’s a few things I”m not quite happy with, but overall I’m quite satisfied. This is the most characters I’ve ever drawn and detailed so closely on a single page. About halfway through I was lamenting not putting in a background (even though practically speaking, it’s better to leave the white space for the autographs), but looking at the composition in its final state, I think it would just be distracting.
EDIT: Touched up AJ and Dashie a bit.
This is a quick submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 52 theme: draw a pony in freefall. No three submissions this week (gasp) because I’ve been fighting with another drawing all week (which should be finished soonish). Still, I had to take a quick break for something different. This is inspired by the Last Round Up, but I didn’t want to rip it off entirely, so I changed up the pose a bit and rotated the camera a little. It was rather difficult to get right and a firm reminder of why I don’t like drawing pony heads from behind.
Just a quick shot of what I’ll be wearing at the convention to mark myself for my friends and anyone else who wants to come say hi. My stitching didn’t end up particularly good, but luckily they’re small enough that it shouldn’t be noticeable. Seems to breathe about as well as I’d hoped, though, which is one of the most important aspects.
This is my third submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 51 theme: draw a gender swapped pony. Since I can’t stop drawing Twi, I went ahead and did her. However, I wanted to try something different than just copying the Dusk Shine design.
Other than the stature, the adjustment was entirely in the hair. I gave him a comb over because I thought it worked as a rough male equivalent of Twilight’s hime cut. For the mane and tail I ended up mostly making it more narrow, although there was a bit of shortening involved too. I wanted to stick with the very clean cut look, so I kept the even edges and just played with rest until I felt satisfied.
This is my second submission to the Artist Training Grounds’ week 51 theme: draw a gender swapped pony. For this one I simply wanted to draw Invidlord‘s design for a gender swapped version of his OC, Night Flurry, because she’s just so cute.
This is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 51 theme: draw a gender swapped pony. This is really an age old topic among the group, particularly among the RP group with our OCs, so I took the opportunity to coltify Dusky.
There’s not really a bit design change here. Mostly just shortening the hair (to the point where the mane can no longer hold a ponytail) and the bulkier stature.
