MLP: FiM – Nassy – Waiting For Cue

This is my third submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 45 theme: draw a pony in waiting. Nothing suspicious about this mare, nope. She’s most certainly not waiting around with a saddlebag full of explosives.

Anyway, this is a scene from our RP depicting NightOfAccordionSax’s OC, Nassy, waiting for her cue to set off some distractions so the group can stealth rescue somepony who is being held prisoner.

It’s a little rushed compared to what I would have liked to have done because I was addle-minded and forgot the deadline was earlier than usual today. :/

This is my second on a whim submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 45 bonus and bonus bonus theme: draw a pony inspired by Star Wars and add Cinquo de Mayo. So uh… have a 30 minute sketch of a Stormtrooper in a Sombrero. I’m very sorry if this offends anyone. >.>

MLP: FiM – I Have the High Ground

Don’t do it, Luna!

This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 45 bonus theme: draw a pony inspired by Star Wars. Because I totally couldn’t resist doing this.

This one was a little faster than usual, clocking in at roughly 3 hours. I decided to take this as an exercise in a couple things: the first not obsessing over detail on smaller ponies. I think I succeeded in making it look less cluttered. The other was to continue to be aggressive in colour blending. I took a few risks here, especially with the porcelain blue and my orange. I’m happy I did.

MLP: FiM – Sneaky Snatcher Scootaloo

This is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 45 theme: draw a pony in waiting. Scoots in in waiting all right.

The design is based on the concept we came up for the Snatcher class for the Pony Emblem project. The characters have all been aged up a bit so that the foals like the CMC are roughly the age the main six would currently be.

Did a bit of extra playing around with blending here. In particular, I’m most happy the way the indigo and blue works with the greenery and the purple with the cape.

This is my third submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ Week 44 theme: draw a pony being villainous. I wasn’t really in the mood to draw Discord or Nightmare Moon. And I already did a discorded main six. So I decided to indulge myself a little and do something to promote this old thing.

I kind of lost track of how long it took to do this, but it was a multiple day project. Twi’s supposed to have proportions similar to the alicorns or Fleur in this one, but the angle makes it pretty hard to tell. :/

MLP: FiM – Calgary Comic-Con 2012 Misc Sketches

This is about 4 pages worth of small sketchbook mashed together. This is all stuff I drew while out on the trip, pretty much without reference and without a good place to brace myself. So forgive me if some of the details are off. Anyway, I thought the Discorded!Fluttershy ended up looking pretty good, so I’ve decided to put it in as my second submission to the Artist Training Grounds’ week 44 theme: draw a pony being villainous.

The rest are random facial portraits of the main six and a prototype of Dusky’s prom dress for the upcoming tumblr event.

MLP: FiM – Twilight Sparkle Is On To You Signed Twi-ce

I made it out to the Calgary 2012 Comic-Con and despite the unorganized mess it was, had quite a bit of fun. This is one of the two drawings I got Tara Strong to sign (see here for a cropped, non-signed version).

I thought about replacing the older version, but I figured some people might want to see that one stick around, so I made a new entry. I still scanned it because it looks better than a photo from my camera, but left it uncropped so it’s still like the full piece is there (even though the scanner cuts off a tiny bit of it since the paper’s usually a tad too long >.>).

EDIT: New version with Rebecca Shoichet’s signature added. Decided to crop this time to avoid white-space adding unnecessary file size.

MLP: FiM – Smarty Snuggles Signed Twi-ce

MLP: FiM – Chrysalis vs Worflestia

This is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 44 theme: draw a pony being villainous. I’ve been working on this idea almost since the finale aired. Because Celestia = Worf is the first thing I thought of after she got clobbered. So here’s Chrysalis and Celestia reenacting a scene from The Next Generation’s Conspiracy (I apologize to hardcore TNG fans… I was working from memory from like 3 weeks ago and couldn’t get my hands on a reference).

Aside from that, Celestia’s pose was… difficult to say the least. Also, despite my best efforts, I overdid the pink. I even used a liberal amount of white to try to lighten it up. Oh, yea and I don’t know why, but Chrysalis managed to be stupid amount of cute, despite many parts of her looking like someone took a machine gun to her.
