MLP: FiM – Party Cannon Version 3

This is my third submission to the Artist Training Grounds’ week 43 theme: draw a pony technological advancement. Well, I figured I should do something non-Internet related, and the season finale kind of got my gears turning in a strange way. Basically it got stuck on machine gun Twi and the party cannon during the clobbering montage. This did end up looking a little cruder than I intended (since it’s Pinkie, I wanted it to look a little thrown together), but it was still pretty fun to do.

MLP: FiM – The Eternal Walk

This is my second submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 43 theme: draw a pony technological advancement. Twilight has discovered the pony equivalent of TVTropes. She has engaged in a Wiki Walk. And then we never saw her again. >.>

Oh, yea, should mention I experimented with thicker lines on the horns this time around. Didn’t really get the look I wanted. Lesson learned, I guess. :/

MLP: FiM – Rarigamer

This is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 43 theme: draw a pony technological advancement. This is dedicated to my friend, Alana, who, to oversimplify things, can be called the Rarity of Left 4 Dead. And if she’ll play it, I don’t see why Rarity couldn’t get into it. So have some gamer Rarity.

MLP: FiM – Smarty Snuggles

This is my submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 42-43 bonus theme: draw a pony as a work of art (for the Traveling Pony Museum). Well, with a theme like that, the interpretation can literally cover anything. So I went ahead and did something cute.

I went absolutely all out on this. 15 hours over 4 days. I have some very minor nitpicks as far as what I could have done better. But I think for once, I’m pretty much satisfied with a drawing in its entirety.

I’m thinking of asking Tara Strong to sign this one too.

MLP: FiM – Rarity Relaxing

This is my third submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 42 theme: draw a pony enjoying spring. So here’s Rarity at a hot spring.

Still working on backgrounds and this one turned out okay. I was pretty much figuring out 90% of it on the fly.

The pose was also kind of weird and I think it turned out a bit more human-esque than I thought it would. Still, I think I pretty much got the feel down, which is a good portion of the battle.

MLP: FiM – Pinkie Spring

This is my second submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 42 theme: draw a pony enjoying spring. So Pinkie’s enjoying a spring. Get it? Get it? >.> <.< (Please don't kill me).

This was a difficult pose and I'm not even sure if it's entirely correct. Still, it was worth doing for the of sheer silliness of it all.

This took about 6 hours overall with the 2H-HB-2B trio.

MLP: FiM – Duskflurry Spring Sunset

How do I do background? Seriously, this was more or less a background and colour blending experiment for me. I’ve never done anything like this before and I basically looked up a bunch of sunset pictures and took things I liked from them. XP

Anyway, this is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 42 theme: draw a pony enjoying spring. As of the date this drawing was posted, the RP (logs available at http://demagicks.com/seapony.htm) is in the spring time of year. Funny thing about that: beach climates don’t really show that. :/ Oh and detailing ponies this small with any meaningful kind expression (especially a black pony under low light conditions…) is a major pain. >.>

Anyway, I fussed over this Prismacolor monstrousity for about 8 hours over 2 days.

Features Night Flurry (Invidlord’s OC).

MLP: FiM – Pony Emblem Sage Lord Twilight Concept Take 2

So I was going through the old sketches I did for some random Pony Emblem classes a way’s back and my inner OCD kicked in. The clothing just looked so stiff. So I decided to take another crack at Twilight.

So here we have my third submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 41 theme: draw a pony game. Again, taking a single piece. Continuing with the chess analogy, Twi’s important would peg her as king, even though her power level’s probably on par with a queen.

Anyway, I spent more time on this than I probably should have, but since I was trying to make the clothing look better, there was no point in settling. So I spent a while fussing over the sleeves. The design itself hasn’t really changed, I just drew it a lot better this time. So yea, I probably threw about eight hours over the last three days at this. Done with the usual 2H-HB-2B trio.

EDIT: Fixed a dumb mistake with the proportion of her eye.

MLP: FiM – Pony Emblem Defender Concept

Wow, been a really long time since I’ve drawn anything related to the Pony Emblem project. But I was in a designing mood and it happened to cross over with the Artist Training Grounds’ week 41 theme: draw a pony game. Well, kind of anyway. It’d be more akin to drawing a single rook from a chessboard, but it still counts if it’s part of a game, right? >.> In any event, this is my second submission.

This really isn’t any specific character. I just took the agreed upon design requirements for the Defender (General equivalent) and came up with something spur of the moment to put a generic earth pony in. He actually looked somewhat scrawny to start, but that armour bulked him up pretty good. I actually attempted to add something of a face mask a couple times, but it just didn’t pan out. Note that this isn’t an official design.

MLP: FiM – Twilight Roleplaying

This is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds’ week 41 theme: draw a pony game. I have to give credit to FoxOfWar for his offhand comment inspiring this. We were running the IRC RP and he said he was going to go get food in the IRL game and my mind made some kind of convoluted jump to reversing the roles. And that’s how Twi ended up playing her human mage, Stella, in an online My Little People IRC. >.> And yes, I do realize that’s a standard human keyboard size. I imagine they’d be called unicornboards or something like that in Equestria.

Anyway, I had to struggle with this one a bit. This is maybe the third time I’ve ever down a 3/4 behind the head shot. The strangeness of G4 MLP anatomy really rears its head here. Especially with the snout. Urrrgh.

This ran me about 6 hours over the last couple days to work out with the 2H-HB-2B trio.

EDIT: I’m an idiot and grabbed the wrong profile. Credit goes to FoxOfWar, not rytel-prinny.
